Protecting the Pride | Covid Information for Faith Families

List of 1 items.

  • Letter from Dr. Smith

    Faith family,

We acknowledge that Faith families have varied opinions regarding how best to protect their children. Please understand that our leadership team continues to process all relevant information, which includes parent input. As I’m sure you are aware, no COVID protocol addresses every perspective on what is “right.” Therefore, we must respect the different choices families and teachers make regarding their health. Students or staff should not criticize others for wearing or not wearing a mask, nor should anyone judge others regarding their vaccination decisions. In the spirit of ONE HEART, we ask all parents to discuss the importance of this with their children. Contradictory behavior does not reflect the heart of the Faith family and will not be tolerated.

In light of the recent increase in COVID cases, we ask parents to be diligent in accepting responsibility as the first level of defense against the spread of the virus in the Faith community. It is extremely important that children are closely monitored for COVID symptoms. We trust students will be kept at home when COVID-related symptoms are present, until it is safe for them to return and/or their physician clears them to return. To provide a safe environment with the fewest restrictions and interruptions to classroom instruction and community-fostering endeavors, we need your commitment to these responsibilities.

The leadership team will continue monitoring the ever-changing COVID situation on a frequent and consistent basis. When protocols warrant changes, you can expect timely updates and information.

I appreciate your prayers and commitment to Protecting the Pride as we embark on the new school year.

    Press On,

    President
