Lion Leadership Trips
Participation in the Lion Leadership program gives students the opportunity to travel through a series of trips, which include destinations like San Antonio, Washington, D.C., Europe, Africa, and Israel.
Lion Leadership 101 begins students’ leadership training with a summer trip to San Antonio, Texas. While there, students participate in a Student Leadership University conference where they are introduced to basic leadership skills that build a foundation for future growth and opportunities. Students must be active members of the Lion Leadership program to participate in 101.
The Lion Leadership 201 trip takes students to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., where they attend a Student Leadership University conference. This experience challenges them to put their leadership skills into a larger context and think about the roles they will play as Christian leaders in the world. Students must be active members of the Lion Leadership program to participate in 201.
Lion Leadership 301 gives students the chance to apply what they have learned on previous trips and through participation in the program by taking them on a two week trip to Europe. Students spend the school year prior to the trip planning the endeavour--researching sites, working through a budget, and creating an itinerary. Once they’re in Europe, students take on major leadership roles as they figure out foreign transportation, restaurants, hotels, and currency exchanges. Students must be active members of the Lion Leadership program to participate in 301.401
The final stage of Grapevine Faith’s leadership program, 401 takes all that students have learned on past trips and experiences and asks them apply it to their futures. Students are taught to use their leadership skills in the next stages of life and challenged to maintain a strong faith as they enter senior year and prepare for college. Like 301, students are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of the trip. Past trip locations have included Africa and Israel. Students must be active members of the Lion Leadership program to participate in 401.
