Grapevine Faith Christian School is committed to partnering with biblically aligned families who may qualify for access to the TEFA program. While we were not directly involved in advocating for their creation, we see TEFA as an opportunity to make our Christ-centered education more accessible to families who may not have considered Christian education due to financial constraints. Our focus is on ensuring that we are prepared to welcome and support families who choose Faith through this program, as we would any newly accepted family at GFCS.

• First and foremost it is important to note that the TEFA program is not part of our general admissions process or decision-making criteria when considering biblically-aligned applicants.
• Our enrollment standards and processes are consistent for all applicants, regardless of whether they are utilizing the TEFA program or other forms of financial support. Every family is evaluated based on the same criteria, which includes alignment with our mission, values, and commitment to a covenantal, Christ-centered education.
• The introduction of TEFA will not alter our admissions process or the high standards we uphold for all students. Our goal remains to build a community of families who share our vision for academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development. TEFA simply provides more families with the financial means to consider Grapevine Faith as an option, but does not influence the integrity or consistency of our admissions process.
• This ensures that every student at Grapevine Faith is part of a unified, mission-driven community, regardless of their financial background.

This freedom of choice encourages schools to continually enhance their offerings to attract and retain students. No, while the TEFA program may allow us to fill a few more openings at various grade levels, our focus remains on maintaining the quality and integrity of our Christ-centered education rather than expanding enrollment beyond our capacity to serve families well. Preservation of the culture of the Faith family is of the utmost importance.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts will oversee the program to ensure funds are used properly. Odyssey was selected as the certified educational assistance organization (CEAO) that will help with administration of the program under the Comptroller’s oversight.
