Welcome to the Seventh Grade

Student Council
Students in the seventh grade are eligible to serve on the Faith Jr. High Student Council. Here they learn to become authentic Christian leaders by spearheading a number of service projects. Each year council members are invited to participate in a canned food drive as well as assist in getting food to needy families. In addition, they attend a leadership retreat where they learn problem-solving skills.

Technology
Seventh graders participate in a password-protected blog. Students employ critical thinking and writing skills as they respond to teacher prompted questions. Through the use of this tool, bloggers are encouraged to incorporate biblical worldview in their answers. Students also make and produce their own videos in Bible class using the Parables of Jesus.

Field Trips
Seventh graders enjoy a three-day Texas road trip each spring as they tour various historical sites located in Austin and San Antonio. At the end of the year, they visit the Fort Worth Stockyards and learn about the history of the railroad and ranching industries. Both of these trips complement their study of Texas History.
