Student Leadership University is a unique tool offered to Faith families. SLU is a summer program that combines the “Faith” way with elements of the existing Student Leadership University founded by Dr. Jay Strack. In the first year, Dr. Smith, Mr. Potts, Mr. Hogan, and Mr. Brooks, with their spouses, took 96 students 8th-12th grade to SLU 101 in Orlando, Florida in the summer of 2004. The admin team remains committed to give of their time and resources to develop this incredible opportunity to challenge Faith students to make a global impact.

The SLU 101 experience is open for Faith students who will be 9th-12th graders next year. All registration is completed through the office of Mr. Brooks. Prerequisite to participation in the SLU program is enrollment and fullfilment of the requirements through Lion Leadership Academy.

This year students and staff will represent Faith at 101 which takes place in San Antonio, 201 in Washington D.C., and at 301 in Oxford, London, Paris, and Normandy. Participants progress from one level to the next, culminating in the 401 experience to the Holy Lands. Each trip builds on the past and the opportunities for handing over significant leadership tasks become more intense and meaningful.

Student Leadership University is one more step in the direction of Faith’s mission to provide a strategic, systematic, effective plan that will build into the lives of students the tools needed to be all that God intends them to be as leaders that make a difference.
