Elementary Art Teacher

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade examine the art elements including line, color, shape, and texture.  Students are encouraged to use their imagination with the use of different art materials and tools to develop art skills.  Students have the opportunity to show individual ideas and thoughts in developing skills in drawing, painting, weaving, printmaking, paper mache, clay and 3-dimensional forms.  Students learn to appreciate art as they look at and talk about art and artists of different periods of history. Each student completes an art portfolio of his/her drawings, paintings and art history lessons.  In sharing their art talents they will be a witness for the Lord and glorify Him in all that they create.
