Unity... the Secret to Greatness

This is why one of my favorite battle cries here at Faith is "SOLD OUT!"  When a person is sold out to the task at hand, good things will happen...but when an organization is sold at to the task at hand, INCREDIBLE things happen.  This is one of the cornerstones of sports dynasties...group focus.  It is also what creates dynasties and legacies in families, corporations, societies, countries, and the Kingdom of God.  The great thing is, it is tangible, it creates something you can literally feel.  Coaches call it chemistry, and it is REQUIRED to win Championships. 
 
Remember how you felt after the 911 terrorist attack?  Remember how something turned over in your belly when you saw enemy planes crashing into our beautiful buildings?  I for one would have strapped on my weapon right then and there...and you would have done the same.  There was a feeling of patriotism and love for country that seemed to be re-birthed in our hearts.  We put on I LOVE NY T shirts, wrote inspirational songs, were kinder to the man on the street, looked a little longer into our neighbors eyes, gripped a little longer when shaking hands, and you didn't have to say what you felt because every American felt it to!  We might not be able to explain it, but we knew we had it!  Suddenly, we were all brothers again...AND I COULD SEE IT IN YOUR EYES!  We were suddenly bound together for a purpose bigger than ourselves, and while tragedy had forced us to this point, there was an unbelievable, tangible feeling of... well...of..."You just attacked the wrong  country and you're about to feel the WRATH of the United States of America!  Here we come!" 
 
There's nothing like UNITY!  We are the UNITED States of America!  UNITED!  How powerful is group focus?  On the plain of Shinar the great project of the tower of Babel was taking place...men wanted to make a name for themselves and build a tower so great, that it would "reach into Heaven..." We all know that the Lord confused their language, but look at HIS reason...Genesis 11:6 - And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them."
 
Nothing will be impossible for them?  Why?  One people, one language, PERIOD.  You want your groups to do something huge? 
 
GROUP FOCUS.  UNITE.  ONE HEART.
